We saw 2 flocks of geese flying southward. We were on our way to Eau Claire. It's funny, when I see them in the fall, I feel wistful and sort of melancholy, but in the spring, I'm hopeful. Funny what feelings nature brings out in us.

Them ain't American geese, must be Canadian. Ok kidding of course.
We have several hundred fly in to the farm here in Western Washington on a daily basis. They see know reason to go further south as they can't find anyone to cash in their mileage points.

Don't be that way...they ain't nothin' but sweet. Okay, so they were landing in a field to our east, but they may have circled around from the opposite direction. Just trying to make polite conversation. Sheesh! It's better than "who can be the last poster".

Even when there is an even number of Canada Geese and they are flying in their "V" formation, one side of the "V" is always longer than the other!
Do you know why?

Shoot, they're probably confused. In the Cincinnati area, we haven't had enough snow this winter(total) to cover the grass. Haven't been below freezing for an entire 24 hour period yet. I'm reporting - not complaining.
Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.
