Personally I do not Lke "things hanging" on front of the truck, but know lots of people who do that.

I spent the $150.00 for a front reciever as I thought it would be the hot set up only to learn that the bikes rode too high. It was distracting to try to look through handle bars and seat. Gave up and removed the front reciever and now have it on craigs list. Randu

We had a front receiver on our previous truck and my husband liked to carry the bikes there. I did not like it! I found them to be very distracting, especially if I was driving.

Have carried two bikes on the front of the F150. Removed the seats and lowered the handlebars so that they would not interfere much with vision. Not my favorite position, but workable.

I used front receiver for a few trips but eventually I found a better way. Not my preferred method.

I like using the front hitch for bikes.

I've used the front hitch to carry two bikes. I removed the seats for better visibility. To minimize the bikes rocking from side to side, I also tied a strap between the top of the rack and the truck frame inside the grill.

After a short while I got used to them there. However, on curvy mountain skinny 2 lane roads I found them distracting as I was having a hard time judging where the center of my lane was while going around curves with traffic coming the other way.

I've heard that it's not legal... Something about blocking drivers view and blocking headlights.

BUT... I've just heard... Have not researched.
