We stayed there a couple of nights and had a good time. It is your typical beach campground, sunny, close to gether.
The pier is in walking distance and your dogs can only go the beach after hours.
We would stay there again. P.m. me if you would like a few pictures.

We've been to MB one time and that is where we stayed. We picked it due to the pier being there. I don't have anything particularly good or bad to say about it. Kinda average, I guess.

We stayed there in 1980 and it was very nice!
Haven't been back because I HATED Myrtle Beach, just way too many people for me. There are lots and lots of other places I would rather travel to.

I guess mine is the "bad."
Apache is old and run down and not a place we'd ever consider staying. Myrtle Beach Travel Park is our preferred campground in the area. It's right down the street (and beach) from Apache.

I have stayed at Apache since 1975. Other than the pier, I think it is the same as the beginning. Close sites but you can get close to the Ocean.
Granted there may be better, but Apache fits like a well worn shoe.

x2 we have been going to the Travel Park since 1972. Have walked around Apache and it needs a face lift. Washrooms are very outdated although we always use our own facilities.

Don't plan on being able to let your awning out. The sites are that close together. We couldn't even let our slide out all the way. We will never camp there again. Sites toooooo close and run down. It was not just our site, but all of them. They make two sites from what Ocean Lakes, lakewood, pirate land would call one site. About the only thing they do have is a pier which they charge you just to walk out on. I hope it's not too late to get your money back.

Yes Apache is old, and the bath houses dated. Sites pretty small, but no smaller than the Ocean Lakes sites. and last time we were there. Security was a joke. That's the bad.
Now the good. Apache is easy to get too, you come off 22 right onto the road it is on. It is in N Myrtle, Close to restaurant Row, and Barefoot Landing. Apache also has the widest beach, Dune to ocean, of any Myrtle Beach Campground. Also. From the oceanfront sites. You can actually see the beach, and ocean. No other CGs offer that view.
We would stay there again. but it is not our first choice. It would come up on the list, however, IF they would fix up the bath houses.
BTW. they do give you pier walking passes.
