How many of you store your MH with the stabelizing jacks down? Does it make a difference?
Thanks,

Depends on the brand. This is truly a RTFM type thing. Ours says jacks up but IIRC some Monaco say jacks down. Both are correct for their respective coaches.
Nice and simple huh ?

We always put the jacks down, to take "some" of the weight off the tires. If you do, make sure and spray the jacks with silicone, monthly or so.

We've always stored up. No problems.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

Down when camping and up when stored. Ours are hyd. and I wipe the shafts with a clean lint free cloth that damp with trans fluid before we raise them back up.

Jacks down to take load off both the tires and springs. It does sit inside when not in use.

Jacks up, because many years ago I hauled trailers that had air landing gears, and they would freeze in the winter, and not go up, and you had to heat them to get them to work. And I know that hydraulic jacks will get stuck in the mud, so I'm not taking any chances, their staying up for the winter - - Cause I want them up next week to go south!
