This is our first trip in our '88 Bounder and I cannot say enough to express my satisfaction with GS ERS & Cracker Barrel Restaurants.
As I pulled into a CB for the night, I realized I had no brakes or power steering. I asked CB if I could use their phone to get help. After about 30 minutes on the restaurant phone, since I was off the road and out of danger, GS said nobody was available and to call back in the morning. Next morning I called again and was on the CB phone for another 30 minutes waiting for GS to find assistance.
Finally they said nobody was immediately available and they would call me back -- ya right I am on the CB phone. We made arrangements with the manager and he said he would deliver a message. Within a half hour the manager came out and said a mechanic was on the way. Another half hour wait and a roadside mechanic showed up.
Real friendly guy who diagnosed the problem as a broken belt. He took off and returned with a proper belt. Although it took about 2 hours to change the belt, this guy was great.
The CB manager came out a couple of times to make sure we were okay and told us there was free coffee inside if we wanted it.
Good Sam contacted us (email) and asked if everything was okay and said they would cover the cost of the service call and all I had to pay was the labor and parts. Still cost $250 in repairs but GS ERS paid for itself in one call.
Thank you Good Sam and Cracker Barrel.

This is exactly the reason we stop at Cracker Barrel. Over the years since the first store in Lebanon, TN, we have always found good food, friendly service, and great friends in every store.

I'm new to the forum, besides a great place to eat, what else does Cracker Barrel do?
Thanks!

CB is great until you pull in and there is one car parked in each RV spot, but that is another story for another time.
Glad everything worked out ok for you.

Many Cracker Barrel's have dedicated RV parking and allow overnight parking, similar to Walmart. As said though, it's not uncommon to find cars parked in the RV spots, especially at the busy meal times.

I wasn't aware of that.

Glad it worked this time, but sounds like you need a mobile phone.
