Heading to the Teton in June, our route is traveling thru Dallas, Amarillo Hwy 87/287, I-70 to Denver.I-25 to Fort Collins then Hwy 287 to Laramie on to I-80 to Rawlins.Back on Hwy 287 to Hwy 26 to Moran. Has anyone taken this route and what am I looking at as far as road conditions, hills, mountians, grades in general what kind of ride am I in far?

Get a copy of the Mountain Directory West published by R&R Publishing, Inc. Use it to check your route for mountain passes and steep grades. They also publish one for the east.

Most maps, paper or digital, shade the National Forests. In Wyoming, NF cover the mountains. That means, Jackson and Jackson Lake are in a valley surrounded on all sides by mountains. However the only pass that should worry an RV is 22, Teton Pass immediately west of Jackson. All other major highways are either following rivers (US26 S&W) or crossing relatively broad and gentle passes (US287 E or US191 SE).
Google maps with terrain mode on is a good way of judging what kind of terrain a highway is crossing.
To search for other threads discussing these routes I suggest trying some distinctive place names, like Rawlins, Dubois

It's a good route. We've driven those state hwys. as we try to stay off the interstates. There are many scenic ways to get there but your choice is o.k. Any driving in the western states is not going to be fast and flat. You'll gradually enjoy the scenic routes!! Just take your time.

Your Route will be fine -- but you have many other options that might allow you to see and touch so much more.
When you reach Denver think about heading out Rt 6 to I-70 then through Vail and maybe Catching Maroon Bells just outside Aspen -- truly one beautiful spot -- then maybe around to Glenwood Springs with the over and Under Interstate drive and possibly a dip in the Hot Springs Pool.
From there you could go through Rifle to Dinosaur NM -- then over to Flaming Gorge before heading up to the Tetons -- might not be a quick but would certainly be more eye candy along the way.
Like I said your route is fine -- just a lot of other options available.

Last July we left Grand Teton NP and took 26/287 from Moran to Lander to Rawlins where we took I-80 east. From Rawlins on you'll find some "big lonesome" territory. Be sure to fuel up in Rawlings for sure, although Lander is a descent sized town. From Dubois to Moran you'll encounter some road construction. There were a couple of delays and rough road, but it's not that bad.

We always travel this route from southwest Arkansas and it is great. When you leave Rawlins stop in Lander for great overnighter to see sinks Canyon. Sleeping Bear RV Park was nice but Sinks has a state park that I hear is good too. Then when you leave there and are coming up through Togwotee Pass you will see the most awesome views of the Tetons from many miles away and they get bigger and bigger. Awesome!
By the way, if you need to stop for a rest near Amarillo, their welcome center is great. Has free wi-fi and 24 hour security guard on duty.
