Does anyone know if windows professional has a built in unzip/zip function built into it. I encountered a problem with Adobe Reader 10.1.2 while trying to print out a PDF file. It seems the they have changed the default to on for printing both sides of a page on a PDF file and I need to turn it off. I found a fix but its a zipped file that you download and execute an exe file to fix the problem if Ive read it correctly. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and how did you handle it?

If Win7 does, then you should be able just to double-click on the filename, and it'll work.
If it does not, there are free zip utilities available on the web. I use WinZip (on WinXP), but have also used PKZip in the past.

Some PDF files cannot be edited without the appropriate Adobe software. They do this for a reason - to sell more Adobe stuff.
Maybe what you have is what you need - good luck.

Windows 7 does but Win XP doesn't. If you need, you can download the free 7 Zip utility to unzip files.
BTW, the option to print both sides of a page should be a print option, not something contained in the PDF. You should be able to turn it off in your printer options.

Windows XP Professional has "Add to compressed archive" as a right click option on files.. The compression method is ZIP and the file extension is ZIP.
One assumes newer versions of 'doze have it too.

An easy to handle this might be to copy the file you want to open and rename it TrialFile.zip. Then Windows would see it as the association with PKUnzip and may possibly handle properly. Do the copy and rename - the right click select Extract or similar.

WinZip is free to TRY. The latest version of PKZip for Windows that I could find requires purchase. CNET allows you to search for Free, Free to Try or Purchase software.
