While enroute to the Newmar factory last week the AC compressor on the engine seized. We had just pulled over in Shamrock TX to let the dogs out and when I started the engine there was a huge cloud of smoke and the engine stalled. I pulled the dog house off and found that the compressor was seized and the serpentine belt was toast. Called Progressive and they had the correct tow truck there in less than an hour. The driver pulled the drive shaft and the mud flap and has us at a Workhorse shop within two hours. The drive also replac the drive shaft and mudflap before he departed. The repair facility replaced the compressor and belt and had us on the road in six hours.

My hat is off to Progressive Roadside Assistance, T & H Towing in Groom TX, and S & L Automotive and Truck Repair in Amarillo TX. All three did outstanding service.

That's good to hear. We have Progressive and (knock on wood) never had to use it.

I'm here at Newmar and one of he folks that came in today mentioned that Progressive had directed them to a repair facility that couldn't get the job done and after three unsuccessful attempts at repair sent them here to the Newmar factory for permanent repairs. It appears that Progressive will attempt he less expensive route but if necessary will get the job done.

I have Progressive since 2005. Had trans. problem at campground on top of mountain. They sent the proper tow vehicle, towed me 70 miles to my home, and we passed many repair shops along the way. I felt they went overboard to satisfy me. Lady in cs that I talked to, stayed in contact until the tow truck arrived and did a great job. I highly reccomend tham.
