Last week I took delivery on a 2010 WILDWOOD 22RB. Its been fun this week.. learning about my new2me camper.. and buying a few accessories.. and getting everything set up.

Don't get me wrong.. I am, so far.. very happy with my WILDWOOD.. and feel blessed to have purchased this, practically new, unit.. at a super price. I am proud of my camper and happy I made the purchase. However.. I am disappointed that FOREST RIVER cut some corners on the WILDWOOD. I guess this is their "low end" line.. but I was very surprised to find these two things missing:

1. No cable TV input on the side of the camper.. thus no cable TV outlet inside.
2. and no AC outlet on the outside of the camper. Can't easily plug in awning lights.

I can live without these two minor things.. or can improvise.. but really.. this seems so petty.

I can't imagine why they would not include a cable TV hookup. Has anyone installed there own? I really don't want to cut into the aluminum siding.. but might consider drilling a hole in the floor and run TV coax into the unit that way. Is there much to drill through? How thick is the floor on these travel trailers?

Not sure if they were cutting corners but they were an option on that model. Someone just didn't order it. Here's a video tour that shows one 22rb

I have seen that video.. you are right.. it was a $43 option. Funny, my 22RB has several options.. 2 door fridge/freezer, Shower surround, Tankless HWH, etc.. but not the cable TV. No big deal.. I can improvise.

Any opinion on drilling a hole through the floor?

Opinion? Sure.

I'd think that putting a hole in the floor of a trailer is asking for trouble on a number of levels. You live in rain/snow country. All that moisture coming up from the bottom would be worrisome for this So. CA person.

What about running something up from a cabinet & on to the roof through a vent? Or through a window screen? A friend simply takes off the screen from her dinette window and runs the coax out through a louvered window.

On the road and happy with Jed, my four-legged camping buddy.

I'm not sure I've ever seen any trailer without a port to plug a television cable into. If yours doesn't actually have one it would take almost no time at all to install one. Just find a place on the wall near your entertainment center and mount one at that point. Usually ALL trailers have one very easy place to gain entry for an additional coax port and that's the dog shower.
Good luck / Skip

Installing a cable connection should be very simple. Camping World should, and I be Radio Shack does, have an outside TV connection plate. Drill a small hole, seal it with silicon, run the wire to the TV and all should be good. As for the AC, I would have an electrician find a circut near a storage bay and tap in...Not exactly true, I would do it myself, but my good friend is an electrician and I would ask his help.
Good Luck, and Happy Trails.
