Still waiting for winter to arrive. No snow and mild temps here don't do much for skiing or ice fishing but I'm OK with it. I sure don't miss the road salt destroying my vehicles. Maybe Easter??

It's been mild with low snow here too. I've had the urge to get out camping for a bit now. I am not trying to escape winter though, just embrace it, what little we've had of it so far. This Wednesday I'm going to Oregon to hang out with the kids for a week, snowboarding if we can get up to some snow. Then on the 24th to Jackson Hole for some winter photography for 3-4 days and then hopefully in early to mid-March steelhead fishing on the Salmon River. And yes all with the truck camper. I am trying to fit a trip to the Stanley Idaho Sawtooth mountain area as well but it will probably be spring before that rolls around. Happy camping everyone!

This morning... I had a one line PM wanting to know our itenery... good places to go.

We never have an iteneray, never make a reservation, never pass anything of interest.

A few years ago we were in the Avenue of the Giants (Redwood Forest along the Pacific Coast)... MH and 5th WTs were driving thru at more than 50 mph... never stopping...just put a check mark on a list saying they'd been there.

We stopped along the road, did some hiking, ate Salmon berries off the bushes... hugged the biggest trees... felt their power and majesty... the cool humidity, experiensed the clean smell of the woods... thought about what had happened in history while that seedling struggled to become one of the oldest and biggest living things in the world.

Nothing makes us hurry to get to the next campground early in the day... then we'd miss all of the stuff that others do.

Iteneraries are stressful... high speeds on Interstate Highways are stressful... campground jerks are stressful...

We can all avoid stress.... and really enjoy life... just let it happen.

Just finished six weeks in South America.

Nine days 'till the camper is loaded and head south to Calif/AZ - no itinerary and no reservations.
