I am considering purchasing a new fifth wheel and will be installing a washer /dryer.
I saw there is a RV Splendide XC Extra Capacity Combo Washer Dryer available. It washes up to 15 lbs in one load.
How well do these combos really work?
Is it worth the space saved?
Anyone used a combo and a stackable? Thoughts?
Not so concerned with cost as I am efficiency and ease of use.

We have the unvented Splendide combo and love it. Sure, it would be nice to dry the clothes a bit faster, but it's sure better than not having it. As for the combo vs stackables, we like the huge closet area above the washer. A stackable would take up all that space; we wouldn't want to lose the storage space. Furthermore, it's very nice to be able to put dirty clothes in and get clean dry ones out a few hours later.

Never had one or the other what happens to the moisture from an unvented dryer?

The 'unvented' dryer air goes into the water drain and into the grey tank from what I understand.

If money and room is not an issue then sure get the stacked. I would only get a non vented as a last resort as they use a lot more water. The extra water is used to cool the drum so the moisture condinsates and is pumped out. We use our 2100 combo a lot and do not see the need for stacked units as our works well. You learn to hang some things out to dry speeding up the dry cycle.
This post is my opinion (free advice). It is not intended to influence anyone's judgment nor do I advocate anyone do what I propose.

I'm interested in this as well. We will be getting our full time retirement rig soon. My uneducated thoughts are;
Combo - can only do one load at a time but may save some space and weight.
Stackable - may use more space and may have more weight but can be drying one load while washing another.

Ivylog: If I am in a park with good water and pressure....why would amount of water used be an issue/concern? The RV dealer, whom I respect and trust is an advocate of the combo unit.

Have had a splendide vented unit and it was OK. Small loads and wrinkled clothes. Traveling friends had an unvented unit and did about the same job but took much longer to dry. They said they would never have another unvented one. We now both have stacked units and would never go back to a combo. Works just like "at home". If you have the room go for the stacked unit

Our coach has a splendide combo and it was vented to the outside right from the factory, the same as a house. DW loves it and wouldn't be without. The loads are smaller and the dry cycle takes longer. We added an stackable dryer that we found at an rv parts store that was taken out of a new unit. It took some extra space but DW is happy so everyone is happy!
