I went with a Hybrd cause i love to Sleep under the stars so to speak. i love listening to the fire from other campsites crackling, I like to see the fire flicker as my yes are closing.. I love to hear the raining splashing down..
So then maybe i need to ask a better queston why do RV companies not care about going the extra mile to make sure everything is clean ?
well, it sounds like you're the perfect Hybrid owner. we too love ours for the same reasons you just described.
and you're right wondering why RV companies don't seem to care.
this issue is discussed ad nauseum, mainly on the General RVing forum here.
there are a number of reasons why: the economy, workers being paid piece rate, factory pressure for high production numbers, factory worker drug/alcohol issues, the economic impact on the RV industry in Elkhart, Indiana and a few more.
there's no easy answer and the dealers are partially responsible in not doing thorough prep, when the units arrive from the factories.
all those things should be caught during the dealer's prep but they aren't.
bottom line is that this has been the state of the RV industry for a number of years and as long as we want the lowest price for our purchases, then corners are going to be cut to get that lowest cost for the manufacturers.

But.....for future reference, you're gonna get spots, stains, bumps and bruises - just the way it is. We take very, very good care of our ROO and want it to stay looking new - it's an '07, but don't let little things like this make you crazy or you're gonna be..........crazy! IMHO, this was a "pick your battles" situation. Your dealer is going out of their way, but if you're repeatedly asking for very minor things to be taken care of, they may not feel as accommodating as they are now. Save your requests for the big things that may or may not come along. Meanwhile, suggest you invest in Mr. Clean Erasers, some black streak remover, good quality cleaning products and be ready to enjoy that part of ownership. Happy Camping!
Sounds to me like the dealer is only doing what should be expected. And YES eventually any camper may have stains, and spots. however. IF I buy a NEW trailer there better not be any already there. Any stains, and spots the camper gets better be MY stains, and spots.
I also don't expect my new car to come with scratches in the paint. I don't expect any on the camper either.

It's called a Pre-Deilvery Inspection (PDI), not a pre-delivery teach you how to camp and set up the trailer. Knowing how stuff works is a secondary task at best.

I imagine Chuck was talking about your first post.

When I bought my used HTT the dealer showed us how to open the side bunk, and not the front because it was hitched to our Blazer. Turns out he was trying to hide a pinhole in the canvas of the front bunk. I found it because I was opened the bunk to check.
Regardless, it sounds like your dealer is making it right by you.

Exactly. You did not inspect the trailer. Hence you didn't find the stains, etc. Finding defects, not learning how to deploy the beds or light the oven, is the primary purpose of the PDI. Learning how to set up the trailer (how to camp) is at best a secondary purpose.

Take it back ASAP! Do an exchange if possible. Always always do a walk through before signing the papers. Might help to casually mention you posted the problem here and we are all waiting to see how it is dealt with. Time is your enemy here. Let us know how it turns out.

Dealer emailed me today.. Spots on bunk end tent is gone. It was explained the grease came from the shoulder bolt holding the cables on. And when it was shut at factory this grease touches and left a mark.. They cleaned the cushions and they came out looking great according to pictures..
So everything was taken care of and the htt is at dealer until this weekend or the following weekend..
