Give the dealer a chance to make it right. After this I'd take it to the next level......it's brand new and should look the part.

My two cents.

There is no way you get a new trailer becuse of a greasy finger print or funny looking trim. If this is your first RV, be prepared for more issues than you have found.

wow, that's all that's wrong and you're asking about getting another trailer?

consider yourself lucky that you only had a few fixable things.
i don't see anything major to warrant another replacement trailer.
finding little things like this, are pretty normal in today's RV world.

So what you're saying Dan is it's ok if you buy a brand new car with stains on the driver seat !!!! In my opinion. I don't think it's right.

Dre

I agree, although I would give the dealer the opportunity to fix it so that there is no blemish on the new RV.

When we fork over our hard earned cash we are not paying for blemishes and water damage. Granted RVs are not made by robots like on an automotive assembly line, so we cannot assume the same fit and finish. That we can accept as RVers, but things should be pristine and should work as expected.

So to the OP - give the dealer the chance to make it right, make sure that all systems are in good working order and you are satisfied, else walk away. No TV is worth hassle from day 1. After all, once you bring it home it its all downhill from there, even with great maintenance. And don't clean anything yourself. They should have done that on their PDI.

My 2 cents.

Aren't these things that any dealer that gives a flip would have taken care of before delivery? Why do so many dealers deliver units to their customers with numerous issues that could have and should have been taken care of prior to retail delivery? If a dealer is that careless/unconcerned/inadequately staffed, what's going to happen when you need service work?

You have got to be kidding... Count yourself lucky if that's all that's wrong. You are going to haul it back to the dealer for something that will take 15 minutes to clean??? Sure glad I'm not your dealer. Let the DW clean it as it will build character and you will know it's done to perfection. A little OCD is putting it mildly.

This post is my opinion (free advice). It is not intended to influence anyone's judgment nor do I advocate anyone do what I propose.

I'm glad your not my dealer as well. For the money I paid this should be spotless.. I shouldn't have posted anything cause all the sudden I'm in the wrong.. I didn't pay for a used trailer with issue I bought a brand new one.. And spots and stains aren't okay with me.. I wouldnt buy new carpet for me house and come homes to stains and be okay with it. I wouldn't buy a car and be okay with stains on the seat and the floor..
But thank you for your comments.. I expect brand new when I buy brand new..

You can't really expect a new trailer because of a couple stains, especially when you didn't even inspect that on delivery (which was a bad decision). The dealer could easily say that you did it after the fact.

If it were me, I wouldn't worry about the mattress, it'll be covered anyway. As for the tent end, I would want that clean. If it is grease on the tent end, it may be tough to get it off. I would let the dealer try to clean it first. That way if they make a bigger mess then it is on them. If you try to clean it and make it worse the dealer could make the argument that the stain wasn't their problem.

As your dealer I'd be ticked if this is all that's wrong with your new trailer. Having read all of your previous posts I understand you are excited about all this and it's new to you, but unfortunately I doubt those are your only problems. I guess we got off to a bad start, but thinking you are due a different new trailer because of the pictures you posted. Those of us who have been doing this for a long time would be jumping for joy if that's all that's wrong.

My family has bought from this dealer on a number of occasion so I know the dealer will make it right. I'm not cleaning it until the dealer tells me to give it a try.. I have to pull it back this week as they are installing some parts for me. So while it's there I will have them look.

We took delivery and the day I picked it up it was cold and the bed ends had ice all over them.. So on the paper work it was written about spring inspection.. We couldnt do it in the service bay as they had everything inside for the camper show..
My concern isn't with the matress I could car less about that.. Its the grease or black stain on the tent end.. and in the picture its hard to see the yellow marks..
