I have never fried pickles, but I would bet Zaxbys uses a chicken breader. I love to fry with House of Autrys chicken and fish breader. On the pickles I would use chicken breader.

Success!!! Thanks for the idea Super Dave. For mine I used House Autry Seafood breader, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. One egg and half a cup of buttermilk for the base. Wonderful golden brown in less than 2 minutes.
