We have several retired teachers in our area that tutor. Big thing around here. 2 of our G-children have been tutored, since kindergarden. Big money, they only go 1 hr. each week.

After I retired from LE, I was asked if I'd consider driving for a car dealer. If you have one in your area stop and check it out. I love the dealer trades (new car) to another dealer. I've been to Wi, Mn. Tn. Ind. Oh. NY. Just got back from NY. I've seen husband wife teams. one drives the chase car and the other drives the other car back. Its fun for me because I only do it Dec to Apr. I get to drive new vehicles and or used which come from some very large auctions. I've taken my Doberman when I drive a truck and trailer a new vehicle out of state. I'll stop at a rest area to get some shut eye and she keeps a watchful eye on the transport. Bill

That is an exceptionally pretty dobie. I don't understand why people crop their ears when it's cruel to the dog and doesn't improve the appearance.

I also thought of WalMart Greeter.
My wife was a legal secretary both here and in the UK. She got a burned out/bored, and applied for a part-time position at WalMart. Wound up retiring from there after 15 years, final position as a pharmacy technician. WalMart is not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. We got a 10% discount while she worked there, and since she was a 15-year employee over 55, the 10% discount is permanent.

LOL...I bet, God Bless you for doing what you did for that long, it takes a special person to be a teacher. Congrats on the retirement and have fun.

My university hires retired teachers and school administrators to supervise the new student teachers. We used to pay $333.33 per intern and depending upon how many student teachers we had and how much experience the supervisor had, they normally had 3, 6, 9, or 12 interns per year. Starting out, you got 3. Ones that have been doing it 15 years or so routinely have 12 per semester.

If there is a university near you and if you have a real interest the new crop of upcoming teachers, you might check in with the office is over student teaching/field experiences and see if they have any positions like that.

I do believe there is either a waiting period here or a limit on how much you can make per year since it involves TRS.
