We got the chance to test Drive the new Diplomat today and must say the new MaxxForce 10 engine was very impressive, along with the Roadmaster RR10R Chassis,
We we're driving in hilly terrain and the coach was taking the hills with ease. Had a hard time keeping the coach under 75mph. I think we'll be using the cruise control a lot when we first get it.
The Chassis handling is amazing with very little nose dip under real hard braking and the way it handles lane changes is really amazing.
All in all very impressed with the ride and handling of the coach, along with the layout and floorplan.
We have a few special request so it will be interesting to see what they come back with to us.
The one major request if for the awning to be moved from the coach to being on the slide so that it really will offer some shade if we're sitting outside.
After a year and a half of looking at various coaches this is the first one DW and I are totally in agreement on.

Sounds impressive. Keep us informed of other features you've found and of your final decision.

Trap - you can tip the awning down by adjusting the arms - depending on where the sun is, it helps. You will lose some length on the awning if it is just on the slide-out but should gain a bunch more shade,
While your at it - if they agree to moving or installing another awning, why not have them fuel it and add full water and get axle weights for you for your final decision. Would satisfy your curiosity (and I would love to hear what the weights are too!).
Good luck with your deal. We just love the liveability of this floor plan.

Thanks tyouns.
Tough to have them fill it with water right now cause we still are in the middle of winter,(although the temps we're in the 50's today) they did have there rep confirm with engineering that there will be no problem with the front axle weight. Since they engineer and build there own frames I gotta go on the presumption that the front axle is ok.
When it comes time to order I may go and do that though just to ease my mind.
Have to agree on the floorplan, the 43DFT is by far of anything we;ve seen the best for us.

I know you also looked at the Tour with a similar floor plan - it was shown in the FMCA magazine this month - almost identical to 43DFT but kitchen and dinette are swapped. I did not like the Tour because the big TV is still up front, where on the Monaco/HR, the big TV is mid-ships against the wall of the half bath. Lets every seat in the house have a good view of the TV. Think you will enjoy this one if you can make a deal - good luck!!

Hey Trap, that sounds like a mighty fine rig. I can't imagine going and buying a brand new one, I think it is great. I know how long you have been looking so if you have narrowed it down, I'm sure you won't go wrong. I looked up the coach on google and it would certainly be my choice. I wouldn't worry about the front end weight. I sure want to see it when you take the plunge. Talk soon. Macktee

We have spent the last 1-1/2 years looking at the Winnebago Tour's, the Newmar Dutch Stars and the American Coach, everone of these manufactures had a floorplan that was about 80% right for us, the new Diplomat/Endeaver 43DFT is about 95% right us.

Thanks Macktee, it has been a bit of chore doing all the research and looking at all these coache's.
We'd be looking at used ones too if we didn;t plan on living in it for at least 5 years.

Have you ever gone to the Tiffin dealer in alberta and looked at the 43 allegro Bus? Nicer unit in my opinion however I realize its a more exspensive coach so may be out of your price range

We have looked at the Tiffen Allegro Bus, but as you said just a little more money than we are comfortable spending, they do have a very comparable and awesome floorplan though.
The bus is a very sweet looking coach though.
