We want to do the drive along Lake Erie from Erie, PA to Toledo, OH. How complicated is it to tow a travel trailer through Cleveland?
Thanks!

I live 35 miles west of Cleveland and only go thru there if there is no other choice, the shoreway rides up close to the lake and will give you the best view, but you will be in alot of residential areas and there is usually alot of traffic, the interstates are as usual pretty torn up with alot of construction, they are builing a new bridge right over the river, and the roads are in pretty rough shape...good luck

We did it last summer in a MH on Rt 2. We did not go into the business district of downtown but just sort of skirted around it. We did it on a week day and it was no problem. There is one very sharp curve right near the lake but it is doable.

I'd skip the lake views long enough to get through Cleveland. It's a relatively easy passage on the Interstate system as long as you don't hit there at the wrong time of day.

Take US 90 until downtown then switch to RT 20 and Rt 6.
Will take you along lake through the west side of Cleveland, Lakewood, Rocky River, Bay Village.
Mostly residential but an easy drive with an RV.
Along the lake but only a few places to pull over.
I would go as far as Sandusky.
You can easily cut south and get on US90 or the Ohio Turnpike when ever you wish.
If you are traveling in the summer, a must stop is Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky. Best in the world for roller coasters.

The KOA in Sandusky is a nice park and fairly close to Cedar Point if you decide on that. I totally agree with sticking with the interstate through Cleveland.
