The handle for our door latch, on the fridge part, has broken. This is the flat piece that you pull on to release the tang that holds the door shut.
Does anyone know how to remove and replace this latch? I've glanced briefly at the thing to see how to remove it, but it wasn't easily seen. I'll have to look closer when I get back, but thought maybe someone here had some insight/advice to offer.

You replace handle. Take out the two screws.
Dometic doesn't make any money making fridges. They make their money on replacement handles. And doors--when the hinges break.
Yep, actually drove to all of these places---in the last eight years. Missed Rhode Island and New Jersey.

If you plow through the Dometic website to the refrigerator you have, you can get a parts breakdown schematic that show parts and if applicable, where the screws are. I think some of their handles just snap into place, but mine has 2 screws.

If it is like my old fivers Dometic fridge you will be replacing it many times. Just a real poor setup for a handle. I bet I replaced mine 5-6 times. Some pics would help.

To be certain of getting the correct part, you will need the product number in addition to the model number.

When in Ft StJohn Canada I broke my door latch. Parked about a block from the RV parts supply. The gal at the counter gave me all the possible latches without paying so I could go install the right one and then bring the others back to pay. Love those trusting Canadians.
