My ice maker seems to be no longer making ice....just sits there and clicks.
Any hints on what to replace this with and how to do so??
thanks for any thoughts.

When mine needed a part I bought the whole thing at ABT electronics for about $40-$45 with free shipping. The needed part was $33. plus shipping, a no-brainer for me!

You probably have ice stuck in the mechanism. Give your fridge a thorough defrost and see if the ice maker starts working again.

Bad module or heater either case cheaper to replace the ice maker. Most Lowe's, or Home Depot for about $60 for a universal.

The part no. is Whirlpool Mod. ECKMF94, Lowe's #5773. There are usually 2 ea. 120 volt plugs, one for refrigerator, one for ice maker. Be sure to unplug both before starting the replacement. The kit includes a new solenoid, harness and some other parts. I only used the ice maker parts that go in the freezer.

I had a problem with mine. I didn't winterized it properly and the solenoid froze and gave it up. I was going to go the Whirlpool/Lowes route but on following the Norcold diagnostics, it was clear the problem was the solenoid. I purchased the solenoid from Camping World parts for $47. Thought about buying the Lowes unit for just the solenoid. That would have made the repair extremely complex. A household ice maker uses 1/8" tubing and the Norcold solenoid has a garden hose fitting. The solenoid is also mounted 2-3 inches off the rear wall to avoid the heating tubes and it would have required making a new bracket to mount the much smaller Whirlpool solenoid. It was a 10 minute repair with the Norcold part.

x3. Sounds like it needs to be defrosted.

Are you sure the water is turned on to it? Ours the shutoff is under the sink with the water spigot filter.
