Seems I have seen some RV'ers on here who are Veterinarians, so here is my question.

Our Cocker, Molly, is now 20 years old. She doesn't get around much, sleeps about 85% of the time, always lays right in the middle of the walkway where ever she is. I carry her up and down the motor home steps and she can not see nor hear.

Six to eight years ago she had several sebaceous adenomas on her, which I understand is very common with this breed. At that time, one ended up being around 8cm wide. The Vet put her to sleep and removed all that he could find.

Recently she has developed a few more, the largest being about 2cm wide. They occasionally bleed and then she attempts to clean them. I trim the hair around the area but they never seem to dry up.

Now my question. Is there anything I can do to attempt to dry it up? I think that her age may prevent us from putting her to sleep to remove these so I thought I would post here for any help.

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Keeping them clipped and clean is a good plan. I like to use a prescription product - Neo-Predef powder. The powder dries, it has antibiotics and tetracaine - a topical anesthetic that keeps the irritation down.

I agree with not removing them.
