Has anyone written a forum dictionary for newbies?? I am reading the forums to gather infomation but there are a lot of abreiviations that I haven't figured out: mostly about type of rigs. Maybe someone with years of experience on the forums could publish one

I constantly run into abbreviations I don't understand. I think it makes some folks feel like they are in the know. Unfortunately many of us are not ITK (in the know).

Semi-"retarred" in 2006. :-) 2008 Newmar Cypress 5th wheel, 2008 Dodge diesel dually to pull it with.

Acronyms are the way of the internet. No one does it to feel they are "in the know" it is just a form of shorthand on the net. The above links to RV and internet acronyms will be good reads to all who feel confused.

And I doubt anyone would feel irritated if you ask them what their acronym meant if you find one that is particuarly stumbling. For as much as I feel I know most all acronyms on this site and the net in general, I still will find one I haven't heard of before, and just ask the writer what they meant. Then I add it to the "vault" i call my brain for future reference.
