If anyone could tell me which fifth wheel is best in the order. In other words, it appears as if the Cardinal has more parts and is a bit better than the Cedar Creek, and the Blue Ridge is a bit better than the Cardinal. I want to know if I am correct.
You see why I ask the question, I liked the 3100 model of the Cardinal, but they make it with 3 slides now. So I am seeking out the Blue Ridge or the Cedar Creek. Their plans of the model seems to be what I want which is like the old Cardinal with two slides. But there is none to be found locally. So before hitting the road, I want input on the quality of the units.

I cant speak for the other 2 but I am on my second Cedar Creek and really like it I have a 2007 ckqs 4 slide and really enjoy it. The main reason we went back to another Cedar Creek is because of the factory backing, they do stand behind thier campers. As others have said before your dealer is what you need to look for a dealer who will stand behind it and the factory who stands behind the dealer.

Both Cedar Creek and Cardinal were on our short list. Got a great deal on the Cardinal in my sig. In the end you will have to make the call which is best for you. Good Luck.

All of them are made by Forest River, Cardinal and Cedar Creek are very much alike. Some feel the Cardinal is the GMC and the Cedar Creek is the Chevy. Cardinal came out with the Blue Ridge a few years ago as a less costly unit to the Cardinal.

No matter which one you get, buy a three slide. We were told one of the main reasons people traded in their fivers on a new fiver was to gain a third slide. It's a little like a two bedroom home. It is ideal for many people, but a three bedroom home has wider appeal when you go to sell. JMHO

Used to be when we bought Cardinal and CC were basically the same. Last bird I looked at last year I think that dynamic has changed. Now, it appears that Cardinal is a notch above Cedar Creek. basic construction is identical, so it all boils down to what you like best and can get the best deal on.

Cardinal is the top of the line, Forest River wise
Blue Ridge is the Little Brother to Cardinal....built on the same line , in a row as Cardinal, but lower on the family tree ...not as many features, etc.....
I invite you to visit our site .... www.cardinalrvclub.org....... and ask one of our owners about their particular rig. You can find just about any Cardinal you want to know about , and we love to talk about our rigs.
Ceder Creek is right up there also. I believe they have a Site also.
For Quality, Features, options, it is hard to beat a Cardinal......since you asked specifically about these 3 brands.

I have seen the units being built - the Cedar Creek has the highest construction quality, factory support, and customer care of the three units (of course, IMHO).
the Cedar Creeks are built in a stand-alone factory in Topeka (right near Crossroads). Must be something in the water in Topeka as Crossroads and Cedar Creek are very customer oriented, have superior quality content, and build techniques to other in the price range.
If it were my money - I'd be buying the Cedar Creek.

I'm gonna have to dissagree, it has been said in this string that the three were same basic construction and I beleive otherwise. I did a lot of comparison especially of these three. Biggest difference is
in the basic construction. Blue and red are built (=2012 models) of vacuum bonded wall structure w/closed cell styro insulation. Any one who has experienced or read about the dreaded "DE-LAMINATION issues knows exactly what this is. The 2012 model Creek's are built from aluminum framing, bolted 16in on center and a "true Noble gelcoat" more like the Boating industry utilizes, hence structure is getting strength from frameing more like a stick house and de-lamination issues not possible. Also much easier less $$$ to repair
Second the entire unit (CC)has better insulation values all the way around. and more options geared toward full time use/longevity
Cedar Creek / Silver back / cottage have same build / framing / structure, can get more options, pkg's
creek's own acknoledged diff's
You can easily verify from Forest River's own website / do a direct comparison of the three including construction, features, and options

THIS IS FOR 2012 MODEL YEAR UNITS ONLY
