There is a raised cover cap which is around and over our roof toilet vent, It is six years old, became brittle and broke off. Has anybody ever replaced this vent cover assembly? Is it difficult, how is it attached and what all is invoved? On a scale of one to ten my skill level is a four.
Thanks

My wife replaced ours, but her skill level is off the chart.
She is also the Eternabond Queen and head slideout gasket technician as well.
She is driven by the fear of having an RV Tech do it for us.....and then having to do it again.

I looked at the cyclone but several of the reviews were not good. One stated that it blew off going down the highway. Another said that a tree limb brusged over ot and tore it off. We have never had an odor problem.

I am certain my DW could do it quicker and better then me. My problem is getting her on any roof. We tried that years ago and she looked like a cat on a tree

After breaking two of the "cyclone" style rotating sewer vents, I installed a "360 Siphon" and have been very satisfied with its performance.

Those are good but if you prefer to replace what you had, prices are from about $4 to $6 dollars for Camco, Ventline and Elixir Roof Vents.

I replaced mine. Remove caulk, R&R 4 screws w/ new cap, recaulk. Simple job, caps are available @ any rv supply, dealer, etc. Helps to buy same brand so screw holes line up!!!
