Well, I finally took the plunge and made the deposit this morning.
I'm buying the 2005 Forest River Day Dreamer from this ebay auction.

I probably spent a little more than I could have gotten it for if I waited, but I figured there would be a lot of callers aiming for the same price I wanted to pay. No, I'm not saying what I paid.

I'll let you know how stupid I was for buying a 5er I've never seen in person once I get it. Frankly, it appears to be in better shape than any of the used 5ers I've looked at in person, and most of them were years newer.

If it is as nice as it looks in the pictures, and you got it for $30,000 or so, I would be doing the happy dance. Congratulations.

Thanks!

I'll reserve the happy dance until I get to see the condition of the roof in person, but I'm not real worried.

Looks great.
You aren't the only one to buy off of Ebay. I purchased my fiver just after Thanksgiving. I had to drive to Grand Prairie TX from Milledgeville, GA. So far so good. I will be going full time in Mar.

Congrats on the new rig. I noticed in the picture of the spare tire and underbelly, driver side under your kitchen slide there is a support for electrical cables. It looks to be in need of repair or replacement. You can order a new one from Lippert. It is called a Flex Guard Kit, about $65.00 shipped. I just replaced the one on my Cedar Creek.
Best of luck and happy camping.

Sorry about the above post, after careful review I have figured out that it is your entertainment center slide. I thought it was like my Creek, entertainment/kitchen slide. Anyway it still should be repaired.
