We are picking up our Arolite 212RBSL next week. One thing we will want to be adding is a screen room or add-a-room. I know all the pros and cons of these, especially with an electric awning. In our pop-up, the add-a-room saved several vacations that had crummy weather or mosquito swarms so we are definitly going to add something. Is there a basic screen only room available? I've only been able to find a couple of products from Carefree. A standard room which seems only for Steep Pitch (not sure what that is or even what brand the Aeorlite has). Another room seems to be more closed than we would like. The screen only room doesn't appear to be for 12v. Are there any other products out there?

If I am following your question, there are screen houses that do not attach to your awning by Coleman and many others. I don't believe they make add a rooms for electric awnings. If I am not understanding, I apologize.

Carefree makes add a room for the electric awnings but you may want to stick with the free standing pop up screen room you can put over the picnic table at the edge of your awning. That way you have twice the amount of shade area and It is easier to put up and quicker to take down vs the one attached to your trailer. Also less expensive. One more thing to consider is leaving it attached during a high wind day, may not be the best idea.

I'm afraid I can't help you with brands, etc, but I'm with you in that I prefer the add-a-room that attaches to the camper as opposed to a stand alone. I like being able to treat the trailer and add-a-room as "one". Leaving the trailer door and windows open makes it easy to visit with those in the trailer while you're in the add-a-room. You're not zipping and unzipping all the time, going from one to the other. My room attaches to the awning rail and not to the awning, but I have a different type of camper.
