LOL have you watched that. It involves dismembering a USB wireless router and attaching it to the can antenna that you built. It involves quite a bit of careful soldering. Not a project for those not initiated into this sort of thing.

I got an "RV kit" from Data Alliance that included a magnetic antenna mount that I could put on the roof. Putting it up on the roof did not gain much, so now I just use the booster which is similar to, but not the same as, this one.
It really helps improve reception compared to the internal airport in our Apple laptops.
A friend who is an electronics engineer told me it will probably not help much when the slow speed is due to an overloaded system, but it will help get you "to the front of the line".
When the issue is just a weak signal due to distance from the transmitter it is a miracle worker.
We just set the antenna on the table between our recliners by the big back window and it works great.

I really have no knowledge of WiFi Boosters, so this thread really interests me. Since I use an iPad in my trailer.....which is WiFi capable.....and there is no USB port....is there a way to make use of a booster in my situation?

I have a Rokland N3 for the reason that RV parks have lousy wifi and since getting it have always 100% signal strength. Highly recommend it for $49.

Hawking HAWNU3 os only $19 on Ebay.
The better price on the optional window antenna is on Amazon at $44.98.
I get between four and five bars without the window antenna. This is in a situation where my DW's newer Dell computer struggles at 2 bars without any booster.
So for only $19, I would would start with just the basic unit and see what happens.

Many folks swear by this JEFA setup which includes an external antenna for better "line of sight" connectivity and an inside wireless repeater.
Perhaps those that have used this can chime in here?

Good advice, that's how I started.
The next step, if needed, is to put the adapter at the end of a 6' cable and put it out the window, go for height to clear the RV next door.
