My trailer is developing rot on the siding of the trailer. I discovered it too late and now the forward compartment has water damage. I would like to replace the siding and was hoping someone could steer me in the right direction. Where can I buy it and how hard is it to replace?
Thanks

I'm curious as to where the water was coming in to cause the rot. Could you see it from the inside, or were there other indicators?

Sorry I can't help you on where to get the siding. I'm sure someone here will chime in. You may also search on the "Travel Trailer" forums as they will have the same problem.

there is a long trim piece that goes from the top front to the bottom front. Some of the siding on the top front had corroded enough to go past the sealant that I didn't see. Water leaked down the front and inside the front sleeper to the forward cargo bay. Lost about a 5 foot by three foot section. It just makes me sick. I found a junk yard for trailers and picked up a piece of siding about 10 feet long for forty bucks. Now it is time to rebuild. I have no carpenter skills but how hard can it really be??? LOL

Well the project is done. figured out that you have to start from the bottom and work your way up. The very bottom of each panel is stapled in place, with the top sliding into the above piece. found a local junk yard for trailers to get my replacement siding. After gutting the trailer I have learned (always known) that Weekend Warrior uses the crappiest wood and has no attention to detail. Took me four full days to rebuild the bottom cargo area, and half of the siding braces but it is done. Had a great rain last night and it is still dry.

Always thought of mine (past tense) as a paper mache project, If it gets wet it's done for. Glad you got it fixed up.

I discovered this link for materials: http://www.glen-l.com/campers/suppliers.html#aluminum. I haven't personally used them yet, but read that someone else had. I bookmarked it for future reference.
