Has anyone considered the Verizon Home Phone connect for on the road? Or even using it for their home phone service?

We've had it for several months and its a great deal. Uses the same wireless network as your cell phone but you plug your old house phone into it. Can take it with you in your RV. I wonder why we can get unlimited calling on it, using the same network, but we're limited on our cell phone?

I've had mine for about 6 months now and like it very much. No negative issues to date. I had Sprint for cell service, AT&T for home service and Hughes Net for internet. Bundled all into Verizon and I am saving over $100 per month.

We've had one for a couple of months and it's great.

If you take it on the road make sure you occasionally do the *228 to get roaming updates.

Isn't this what cellphones are for???

Why have 2 phones when you can just have one cell phone...

We currently have a land line for local calls and incoming at $27/mo from AT&T.

Martha has a Verizon individual 450 min plan at $47/mo plus their %39/mo data plan.

Could we get the Verizon Home Connect for just $9.99/mo, or do we first have to have at least 2 cell phones and a family plan?

your cell phone goes in your pocket and goes anywhere

this stays at home OR can go with you in the RV

it cannot go with you hiking, biking, shopping, out to eat etc...

as too why its unlimited

they crunched the numbers, and on the average people spend more time talking on the phone during work hours
the fact that its stationary means it doesn't move from cell tower to cell tower all day long as you move around
it spends 24-7 connected to one tower, and mostly unused, unless it is in the rv going down the road

its a numbers game and the numbers favor the telco,

it might become a gamer changing option
IF T-Mobile or ATT do it with a SIM card device, and users pull the sim and place it in an unlocked cell. phone

one bill one cheap price unlimited calls and two different uses

but then the phone company would notice the calls coming thru different towers all day long and cancel the service or limit it too the tower closest to the residential install address

Options, always have options, and the journey goes much smoother
