Thank goodness you all replied to this issue. I was questioning my decision and was going to call Greg and have him read this exchange. I still may...he'll be pleased to hear the glowing remarks. Thanks for restoring my faith. I don't want to have buyer's remorse...I want buyer's excitiement.

Disco Chicken, can you be specific about your issues? Call Greg and talk to him. He really is great. I want to know what I should be looking at more carefully before we order in Mar and when we do the PDI.

I'm waiting to get all my warranty work done before I say anything else on here. I'll post plenty of pictures and quoted emails from Greg later. I did ask Greg questions before I ordered my adventurer and found him to be someone short. He told me I had asked enough questions and needed to make a purchase! He seemed busy and bothered with my emails. If any other manufacturer had a floorplan like the 86sbs we would have not gone with amlrv. We do love the layout, interior colors, size, everything about it. However, i have found many quality control issues. I bet ive pulled 15 - 20 pieces of red tape off that camper. I believe they marked several issues the camper had after manufacturing and the next step was skipped. Anyway, I'll have a big post with pics and details here in a few weeks. One other detail concerning the front cap on eagle caps. Last years model of the 86sbs had a front cap. I was surprised not to see that when my camper arrived. I asked Greg about this and was told the front cap had issues not flexing with the rest of the camper. I find it odd they still use the cap on eagle cap but not adventurer. I believe it's a marketing thing to keep the brands separated. I'm not here to blast anyone or make a company look bad. But, I personally would not buy another RV from amlrv. Take it for what it is.

Well,I'm very happy to report that Fraserway RV came thru for me in a big way...Instead of a left over 2011 I will be the proud owner of a 2012 Eagle Cap 950 for a very fair deal..I have to say I like the 2012 more.It has some nice upgrades from previous years..
And thanks to everyone for their input.I never spoke to Greg directly, but my salesman did and he seems like a good asset to their company...I will post pics soon..

Remember everyone looking for "long-term" service out any RV you buy.
Not denying some of the RV builders out there produce a poor quality RV. But, half (or more) of the longevity on the one you choose comes from good upkeep and maintenance.
So, an RV that's built by a good quality manufacturer falls apart sooner if you ignore it. I know, I know, you need good quality at the beginning, but once you buy it, a part of it's 'lasting factor' falls on the owner.

DC,
My experience exactly. I asked if the full wall wardrobe could be deleted and a window be installed in the cabover bed on a model I was really interested in. The dealership contacted Greg and I got a copy of his response. It was "All that just to get a window?". I knew from that response that any factory issues may be dealt with in the same cavalier, off handed manner. The poor dealer tried to blunt the barb by saying I shouldn't take his comments out of context.
It should be noted that I'd preficed my request by saying that I knew it would be special order and may not be able to be done. I just like having windows on both sides of a cabover. It tends to minimize the cave like nature of the mid bath campers we prefer.
Guess I'll by a Bigfoot or an old pre-Adventurer EC 855.
According to the latest TCM survey, we like non-slide campers...... Where are they? Northern Lite, Northstar, CampLite, Wolf Creek, S&S and Bigfoot seem to be the last hold outs. Arctic Fox is building their 865 only on and order basis. If your are hunting an all season TC, the pickings are getting slim.
My thoughts only,
Bill

An all season TC can have a slide. A properly built slide with a good seal if left in is more than capable of being all season. I use my Chalet Ascent skiing almost every weekend and it performs amazingly well. Much much better than 85% of the campers up at the ski resort. The only ones remotely better are the Bigfoot and Northern Lite. Actually my Ascent with its thermal windows condensates much less than my best buddies Northern Lite. The Chalet Ascent campers are very very well insulated. Their build quality, IMHO, is much better than what I saw of AMLRV when shopping and light years ahead of AF. The service from the owners and company employees is very very good and they genuinely care about ensuring you're happy with your camper.
