Bob and Nadine -- you mention that your refrigerator draws a lot of power -- is it running off of propane? Our propane fridge draws almost no power -- the control panel runs off 12 volt power, not the cooling unit.

Its a 110V - 3.1 cu ft Black & Decker, runs off an Inverter.
Only one we could find locally that would fit in the Van.

That's a real good deal! Only problem is I only have 15' 6" of clear roof space. Can those be cut? I understand I'd lose some watts.

Found NEW 124v Uni-Solar laminate panels on Ebay for $199. or Best Offer with free shipping. History of the auction shows they have sold 228 and were selling for $269-$289 and recently lowered the price

124v Uni-solar Panels

I know these are not as efficiant as hard panels, but really like the idea of easy install with no holes through the rubber roof and less weight.
I would only like to keep the two 6v batteries topped off while sitting in the driveway and they would help when dry camping a few weekends in the summer at the track when we're racing.

Would two of these panels(248w) work well with 2-6v batteries and my Xantrex C-40Amp 12/24/48VDC PWM controller? Specs here
