I am planning a trip in August with 4 kids (giving wife a week off) and a I was wonderng the pros and cons of Moose Hillcock Campground in NH. Reviews I have read seem positive. Any suggested sites over others? Will be going midweek Aug 13-17th from Rhode Island

We went there for a 5 day stay maybe 4 years ago. Nice enough place, very hilly for the kids and their bikes. Nice pool area. Once you are in the campground you aren't close to much of anything so be prepared for that.

The campground and pool are very nice. The sites, if I remember, close to the pool are huge. Nice palyground and lake to fish.

Cons: In the middle of nowhere. The narrow road and steep hill getting there and leaving is far from pleasant when pulling a heavy fiver.

Really nice CG in the middle of nowhere. It would be nice to take the kids out for a day and show them the white mountain region. Head up to Franconia and from there go to MT Washington.

I agree with everyone else about being in the middle of no where but considering how nice of a campground the place was, it didn't bother us doing day trips, most of the main attractions from what I remember were one HR away.

Very nice pool area, kids will love the ship wreck pool/slide.
Best thing about it for me was no cell service It is in the middle of nowhere, but worth the trip. Enjoy.

No cell service so don't be on call for work...

Great pool, fun place, ice cream social, entertainment.

Looking at the map, the section on the left as you go the pool are nice looking sites, everything else is up the hill.

In the campgroud the roads are not the , narrow and hilly. Backing in can be a chore, and if you are not skilled . . . plan to spend a bit of time doing it.

The campground is fine but in the middle of nowhere and bears can frequest the campground.

Overall a nice campground focused on family, the even offer Church services - which is a great touch.

I guess one's opinion of "nowhere" can differ. True, your not going to be a 5 minute drive to services but a 30 min drive out Route 25 (Tenney Mountain Highway) and your at a supermarket, Wal-mart, Dunkin. Head out 118 towards Lincoln and there are plenty of restaurants there. Polar Caves is a nice side trip (25 minute drive). The kids will really like their pirate themed pool. Wed and Sat if I remember correctly are the nights that outside entertainment is scheduled. Have fun!
