I love them and have had them on my last 3 units. Only problem we get is the wildlife at cretain campgrounds give it a workout so we end up turning it off.

"Cretan"is a great place to camp! They have these "trained Deer" that run back and forth all night long turning motion lights on and off! Very amusing actually! Picture a Deer on his hind legs running back and forth with one hoof covering his mouth to hush the giggles! Great fun!

Oh, come on, guys, read what is written!
It very plainly states "CRETAIN" campgrounds!
I have never stayed at one of them, either.

The motion detector lights on my house are annoying enough (cats, dogs, rabbits, and raccoons turn them on, as well as people). I sure don't want any on my RV!
But then, I rarely ever turn any outside lights on. Let the burglars stumble around in the dark!

Starlights.com. Best one on the market. I have one on both sides of the trailer. It has a blinking light at night which serves to warn intruders to stay away. They now have a 200 & 300 lumens LED bulb for them which can be swiveled to aim the light.

My house backs up to woods and the motion light constantly goes off and on at night with all the critters out there. It freaked my wife out enough that I had to disable them. The last thing I need is a motion light on my camper that will go on and off all night long. I'm sure my neighbors will enjoy the light show.

Here's a good way to fix the whole situation. You go outside when it's dark, you switch on the light. You go inside and you turn it off. If you need to go to the bathouse or walk your dog, grab a flashlight and turn on the switch on your way out. As you return back and come inside, turn the switch off. Works pretty much most of the time...lol

One of the built in features of the Starlights motion light addresses the concerns of always going on and off. Its sensor can tell the difference between large and small objects and picks up the body heat. I have never had the problem of it going on and off when not necessary. In fact, most nights it doesn't turn on unless we either open the door or approach the trailer when returning at night. I probably sound like I sell these things, but I don't. I'm just a very satisfied user.

Just realized I didn't give the complete web address.

It is www.starlightsinc.com

I use a motion detector on the front and back of the OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer. Both detectors feed the light under the front awning.

I use the X10 sensors and remote unit available from Home Automation. After I get setup I can just put small strips of black tape over the sensor to adjust sensitive to not trip for folks walking up and down the site road.

These work like gang busters mounted on both sides of the trailer. When camping in the woods I always like the idea of knowing when two, and four legged critters come wandering around the trailer at night.

Been using the X10 wireless modules for years. They also have the pocket remote controls and I can trip the trailer awning light with it some 50-60 feet away when coming back from the bath room building.

All of my outside lighting including patio, picnic area, greeting lamp, and two Lowes round desklamp lights pointing up into the trees is controlled by the X10 system.

Me can light up my corner of the world with one little push of the bedside button when needed.

Leaving that porch lite on will get you a very-unhappy neighbor. It irks me when its done to me. Just be considerate of others.
