I need ya'll to take a look at the setup I want to have.
I sometimes will tether my LG VX8360 (Verizon) into a Cradlepoint CTR-500..
I sometimes will use WIFI using a Jefa Tech repeater/router.
I will have separate antennas of course for each router.
My question is - Is there currently one device on the market that will perform both functions so I don't have to have 2 routers?

possibility the "wifi ranger"
several members use it with an air card and to pickup wifi access points
don't know if it will USB connect with the cellphone
Options, always have options, and the journey goes much smoother
....

Hi,
You may want to look at this:
Cradlepoint ctr35
It definitely has a usb port--but I don't know if it would support tethering. Ask at the 3g store?

I have a WifiRanger Pro and it does have 1 USB connection (used for a USB 760 Modem in my case) and 4 CAT5, 1 ethernet input and Wifi.
My wife used to give me $1.00 each workday for lunch. After a long argument, I won. Now she gives me $5.00 every Monday.

Reading the QUick Start guide for the cradle point,, And thinking about my own Wi-Fi set up here. yes, there is such a device.
The Cradle point can work with a USB dongle, an "Express Card" or... a Cable or DSL modem as it's "WAN" source.
another device it should work well with is a Linksys WGA-54G or equivlant, WGA means "Wireless Game Adapter"
the early Play Stations, and such did not have Wi-Fi capability, they were designed to hook to the net via CAT-5 cable.. The Linksys WGA line was built to .. address the need for Wi-Fi..
My hookup here:
Currently outside my rig, On a ladder (It can be most anywhere, including on the bedroom wall) is the WGA, Power is fed to it by normal means (Extension cord and wall wart) and a CAT-5 Cable runs over to a connector on the outside of the motor home... From there a 2nd cable runs to a common Wi-Fi Router here in the coach.. Plugged into this router is my mini-tower, and two ReplayTV DVR's. and .. Optionally a laptop.. Wi-Fi connected is this netbook I'm typing on. Works great. Just make sure that the "indoor" router is not on the same channels as the park (This is easily done)
