Go to NADA.com to determine a maximum retail value. Probably the best way to determine value. Some people confuse what dealers are "asking" for a vehicle with what they're actually "selling" them for -- a figure we never see in print.

You all still need to educate me some more.
When you say resonator I was thinking of what you might put on a generator to make it not as loud.
So can you tell me a littler more and is this a issue on the new Sprinters?

I think the resonator issue is solved on the new models. This part attaches to the turbo somehow,I haven't looked personally, but it is a job that a handyman can do,from what I'm told.I think it has to do with the exhaust gases of the engine.Just a bolt on part.Hopes this helps. Its covered with a 7 year warranty also,so 2005-2007 should be covered.

Here is a pdf showing the resonator and how to change it. It's a real easy fix.

Just cut and paste the link into your browser.

2007 and newer chassis Sprinters (V6 diesel engine) do not have turbo resonator eliminators to worry about. The I5 2004-2006 Sprinters had them. Here is the information for replacing the factory plastic with a metal one.

I want to follow your post. I don't think I can help you, but we have thoughts of going to a Class B and just want to follow your post.
When you say the resonator has been replace, what do you mean??
Good luck!
Britt
Britt, since you are in NC, if you are ever out on the NC coast and want to eyeball our Leisure Travel Free Spirit, have a ride around the block and ask Class B questions, send us a private message and stop by. We're near Emerald Isle bridge. Unless of course, we're off having fun in the van.

Thank you very much. That is very nice of you. Leisure Travel (which we can't find around here), Pleasure Way and Great West which we can't find are our 3 choices for what we think would fit our needs.
We for sure will not buy any Class B until we have see all of the above. We have seen Roadtrek, ERA and Pleasure Way.
We have nothing against ERA or RT. Just have ruled them out.
So any additional help you all can give, advise or any thing else is great!

Those are the exact three that we had narrowed our choice down to in 2005 when we bought our LTV. I have seen a lot of all three brands and think they are all three equal in quality and also equal or better than any other on the market.
Our choice came down to a few features that LTV had and the others did not at the time.
We saw and drove an LTV at a Charlotte dealer back then but I just checked their website and they do not even carry class Bs any more. We did the same with Pleasure-Way at a Boone dealer but the couple that ran it retired and closed the business. Great West was nowhere to be found anywhere near NC. We ended up buying our LTV at Van City RV in St. Louis because we got the best deal there.
If you are serious about a class B, it would almost be worth a trip to the Ninth Annual RV.net Class B Rally in Ohio and drop in on Saturday to see about forty class Bs of all brands and talk to their owners.
We keep our LTV in Ashe County and occasionally have it in Raleigh where we live. I don't know where you are in NC, but as NCWriter offered we would be glad to have you view and kick the tires of our LTV if you were near.
