Hello, all. A few months back we visited about my odoriferous issues within my toilet and one sink. I have gone thru many stages of cleanup.
I want to come at it from a different discussion point. What I smell when I flush the toilet AND initially run water in the bathroom sink is a rotten egg smell. If the water runs for a minute in the sink the smell goes away; similar for the toilet. When I run the water more in the toilet the smell goes away there as well.
I bring this up because I had a neighbor say he had to run bleach thru his hoses because the water was beginning to smell like rotten eggs. I would try the same thing but I do NOT have this problem in my kitchen sink.
Any thoughts?

I had this problem in my TT this last fall. found it was the water I was using. Normally I use Happy camper in the toilet so I don't have any smell. but when we flushed the smell almost killed you. found it was the water and drained the tank and bleached the tank and lines to get rid of the smell. 1/4 cup bleach for every 15 gallons of fresh water.

Those points are lower than your kitchen sink. That could be why you are getting those smells there and not in the kitchen sink.
If you haven't sanitized in several months, it's a good idea to do so. It's pretty easy, and might well fix your problem. Run your fresh tank about half full, add the bleach pre-diluted, then finish filling the tank. Run all the faucets and the toilet until your smell bleach. Let the lines and tank stand full for several hours--overnight is good. Then drain the FW tank, refill with no bleach, and flush out all the lines.

After sanitizing, consider trying the Geo Method for keeping the black/gray tanks clean.

I am not actually using my water tank as I am hooked up, but I will make sure the water pump works then I will use the fresh water tank with some bleach as you guys have described to clean out the lines. Good idea!
I read about the GEO method and have used it some, but I need to move the trailer to slosh it around more, and can't do that yet.

Taking in account all symptoms you have stated,I believe you either A.have 2 different problems
B.you are partly mistaken about at least 1 symptom
I will go with my first thought when hearing "rotten eggs".
Remove the drain plug and possiably a secound plug higher on the water heater tank. I wouldn't remove the T&P valve unless your are prepared to replace it. If the plug is actualy an anode in less than exelent condition,dispose of it. If the tank is steel,install new anode. If the tank is aluminumdo not install an anode. Instead,put a brass or pvc plug in it's place. Flush the tank and lines afterwards.
If all that is as it should be,does the heater work well?
If this doesn't reveal the problem,we can move to other possibilites.

Actually, brand new water heater. Problem existed before and after WH replacement.

As coolmom42 posted.......you need to run bleach thru your plumbing system until you smell bleach at each faucet (hot & cold....sinks/shower/outside shower), toilet, low point drains and then let it sit for overnight if possible. Then flush the system.

Due to plumbing issues, (A bad flush ball in my Sealand toilet forcing me to use the Macerator unit more) I tried leaving tank valves open.. Got the same smell.
Another source of "Rotten Egg" is the water heater. Seems there is a bacteria that likes to live in those things that can generate Sulfur Dioxide (Roteen egg smell) so you might try sanatizing your FRESH system, including the water heater.
But in my case when I closed the valves.. Smell vanished.
