Looking for a nice campground in the Kelowna, BC area. Something with a few trees, beach, lake etc., and child friendly. We stayed at one in Penticton two years back...it was nice and all....but more like a parking lot than a campground. I am not looking for a forest, but a little privacy, stuff to do etc. Any suggestions?

Found one that looks nice in Winfield, BC

Bear Creek Provincial Park across the lake from Kelowna about 10 miles from city center is nice. (No services except for showers, flush toilets, fire pits, picnic tables, etc.)Nice beach and boat launch facilities.
Nice campground and very family friendly. Very popular in summer months so early reservations will be required.
There are a few private full service RV parks in the Kelowna area also. Just put "Kelowna RV Parks" on your search engine.

Unfortunately, you won't find much in Kelowna. Hiawatha Campground is by the lake but kinda crowded. Westbank, just across the bridge, has Bear Creek and West Bay campground. The latter is pretty pricey though IMHO. Google or RVparkreviews.com
