Personally I think you get what you pay for. We use to be able to buy the clear but can't anymore and was told the merchants down there cant even bring the clear into the usa anymore. Good Luck. Synthetics usually have little or no alcohol. FDA standards require vanilla extract must contain 13.35 ounces of vanilla beans per gallon during extraction and 35 percent alcohol. Remember that Imitation Vanilla (Vanillan)contains almost no alcohol...or can contain ethyl alcohol...bad stuff! My posts shouldn't be taken for factual data. I've read that as the stuff is used one can add more vodka and it will keep brewing more.
