JMO, but I think too many "mechanics" blame E10 for other issues. We have had E10 around here for years.

No truer words were ever spoken !!
Strictly from hearsay, so many badmouth the E10, but so many have no proof whatsoever of any deposits or damage from E10.
I have even purposely and unecessarily removed bowls from carbs on small engines, even my motorcycle,.. that set for months in the cold winters, over several years, and never found even a sign of any deposits or damage from E10, and none of these use seafoam or stabil either. And most times I find dirt/grit in the bottom,.....the exact cause of all the false accusations of E10,....something that could be completely eliminated by installing a simple $2 fuel filter.
After my research on it all, I would never put a drop of leaded non E10 in any engine I have,.....2 stroke or 4 stroke.

Seafoam and high test gas without any alcohol. My small engine guy told me that alcohol is the worst thing for small engines. Bad for fuel lines and fuel components. Not all premium gas is alcohol free, make sure that you check to be sure. That is why some gas stations post signs that state "premium gas with out alcohol" All two and four stroke engines will operate better on preminm gas.

Just my point,...hearsay,...tell him to show you,....he can't do it.

But I'd bet he can show you lotsa hi $ gasoline,..along w/ lots of hi $ additives that will fix every fuel related problem you never had.

And maybe ask him whats the difference tween a small engine, and a...
...bigger one when it comes to the fuel system,.....unless we're talking EFI, which is much less tollerant to bad fuel deposits, but which never gives us any problems from E10.
