I really like my Husky Hitch, I don't have to worry about worn jaws,or if it is completely locked to the kingpin. Sorry don't know much about the brake controller.

Looks like a decent set up to me. The brake controller is a proportional controller.

Yeah it doesn't say Tekonsha but it's not junk.

If the dealer is cutting you a deal then I would go for it.

Have had my 16K husky hitch since 2003 no problems with it.

I have a 16K Husky hitch also.Have towed well over 40K miles with it,no problems what so ever.And, here is another vote for the Max Brake!

I purchased the same hitch because my brother has used one since 2004 & approx 35K miles. I can't speak to the brake control because I use the one that came on my GMC, but I have been extremely pleased with the hitch & so far haven't needed the slide.

I have the same combo. Husky 16k with MaxBrake.
Wouldn't change a thing.
