I thought 10mpg sounded bad but I figure I am only getting 12 US mpg with my Silverado 1/2 ton 4.8 V8 pulling 3500 single axle TT.

I think the best solution would be to adopt Imperial measures. Up here in Canada, my 12mpg translates to 15mpg. I like that much better.
