.........Just got off the phone with Tr. Pts. Super store , was wanting the 17.5 Modular(steel) wheels with GYr 17.5 tires ! Was told Modular wheels require flat lugnuts , I'm thinking my Dexter 7K axles require Cone shaped lugnuts ! Also , neither GYr. 17.5's or Hercules 17.5 come with a steel matrix in the sidewall so why Not !
..........I'm wanting 17.5 tires I order to have steel matrix in the sidewall ! WHO makes a 17.5 tire with this way , maybe Michelin ? Also wanting a 17.5 rated at 75 mph ! I need help , lol ! , thanks , jf

Contact Trailer tire and wheel. They are familar with your needs. You need 8 Lug hubs and check your existing lug nuts to verify if tapered or flanged. That is enough info for the the linked place to get you the right wheels. They als0 sell tires.

This is what I went with when I replaced my 16's. Went with the GY 114's(H) and I've been extremely happy. No sign of wear at all and no blowouts!! I would have been replacing the "G"'s by now... They came mounted and balanced ready to go!

The lug nuts have to be matched to the wheel, not the axle. On a trailer axle, you are usually using the cone nuts. There is a reason for this. Trailer wheels are usually stud centric rather than hub centric. So to get the wheel perfectly centered without the holes being impossibly tight on the studs, you need the cone arrangement. It is important with these types of wheels that you tighten the lug nuts in stages to get the nuts to center it correctly. You also really should use a torque wrench to do this.

Rocket is correct BUT all tapered lug nuts do not have the same angle. Be careful. I need some so bought 6 for one wheel so I bought some from Pep Boys and nearly lost a wheel.

Three options potentially on 7/8K axles depending on how spec'ed at chassis built.
7K rating
60* 9/16 or 1/2" taper lug nut -Max 7K rating. Lug Centric mounting
8K and up rating
Flange nut 5/8". Hub Centric mounting
or
90* 5/8" tapered lugnut and clamp ring. Hub Centric mounting
