I remember some time ago somebody mention a website to locate rest areas on our interstates. It would be great for travel plans on long distance trips. Can anybody help?

Just get a copy of Next Exit. It will list every rest area by mile marker number.

I use http://www.findfuelstops.com/truck-stop-interstate. It shows all truck stops and rest areas, including a satellite view of most.

The trouble with being punctual is that nobody’s there to appreciate it.

The is a iPhone app called "the next Exit" that looks like it has every thing. I just tried it and it told me what was at each exit where I currently was including "no services" or specific services and it had rest stops. The iPhone's GPS keeps track of your location.

If you have a GPS go to www.POI-Factory.com . They have a number of fine lists there for you to download to the GPS of your choice.

José,
I too wonder about things like that. Where the next rest stop, Flying J, and other supportive type places for RVs would be, so, I'd ask here too. Even with todays computers and that kind of access, it still seems that true experience with folks that actually are out there traveling have the good answers. Yes, you can get books and Atlas type things but, in todays world, they sometimes are not always up to date.
