I have seen some pretty shabby looking 2 and 3 year old units. The 10 year rule is pretty much a cop out. I always call for availability and reservations, never just drive up. If they get too nosey on what type of rig I have, brand, year, length and manufacturer and how it is laid out, I say no thank you and apologize for wasting their time. Now if I am ask length, 3 of slides, and where my utilities are, that is a different ball of wax.

One person's junk is anothers art.
But truthfully, most of the rules concerning older RV's are pretty much "no RV's over 10 years old allowed without management approval..."
And ya gotta keep out the "trash"...

I just stayed 3 wk at an RV park that should have had the 10 yr rule but did not. There was 1 MH that was so shabby I could not tell how old it was. After getting to know the "neighbors" he was a very nice person who works bulding/reparing highways. He had 2 dogs that stayed in the MH during the day. His campsite was very clean and not trashed up.
I was glad I got to know him..and the other workers around me, they kept thier campsite clean too. You just never know by the condition of an RV what the people are like.

Back a bunch of years ago, I did some consulting work in the NRQZ...
I was allowed to drive my vehicle into the area because my Diesel Suburban was old enough...

IMHO, most CG Owners would allow a well maintained RV, but their underlings have absolutely no Common Sense. That is why they will never advance to a more responsible Position. Has anyone ever heard of the "Peter Principle?"
They may have been grounds keeps or some such and they did a wonderful Job, but they have been promoted to their own Level of Incompetence.
