i looked on-line and found out that the display is the part that has the motion sensor. so you can tap the display, or push any button, or power cycle it.

they say you can just leave it all powered on all the time and let it wake up when it senses motion. i prefer to power the display with 12 volts and just turnit on/off as needed. also, with 12 volts the back-light stays on so i can see it at night without trying to find the light button.

Just some information for those with older Tire Monitoring Systems, or Dead Systems. If your thinkiing about buying a New System, here is the Info: "I contacted TST Tire Monitoring Systems, for a 10 Wheel System. I was told I would normally get a 20% Discount, for another returned product, but I would get a 25% Discount off either the 510 or the 507 System. If I returned my old "Pressor Pro System", as I can no longer get the Sensors for it.. I would call that a pretty good deal. You can e-mail Abby or call them, the Contact info is on thier web-site. Good Luck. Happy Travels. Dan & Jill
Really, did you call Pressure-Pro, IN Cincinatti (spelling) Ohio..... U.S.A.
Don't believe you will have a hard time getting replacements, as they are a AMERICAN company, and made in USA .
P.S., I have the system Love it.

Hi bfast54.
To answer your questions, "Yes" I did call and talked to Debbie, the very same person that sold me the Pressure Pro System, in early 07 And yes, it was in Cincinnati, Ohio. Like I said in my other post. There are no numbers or Model Numbers on my Old Pressor Pro System. Maybe I have one of the first originals, and it might be a bit different than yours. But trust me, I did make the call to Debbie and was told that the Sensors for "my" Pressure Pro was no longer availabile. But that she would give me a discout if I bought their New Pressure Por System. I instead went with the TST Tire Monitoring System, as they gave me a 25% Discount, and an extra year on my Warrantry, from one to two years for my Old Pressure Pro Monitor and old Sensors. The 507 TST System has Replaceable, Cheap Battries. I found a socre for the Batries which will only cost me .48 cents ea. And not only does PSI reading but Tire Temps as well, as the old Pressure Pro only did Tire PSI reading. I think I got a much better deal on the TST System for $419.25 for a 10 wheel system. I bought the TST System, for less than what a Pressure Pro System with 10 New Sensors would have cost, $499 dollars I believe. But even if she would have told me they were on hand, which I was told they are no longer. I also wasn't as happy as you are with your Pressure Pro System. My Battries didn't last even a full five years, and when I bought the Pressure Pro, I was told that the Battries would last between 5 to 7 years. Hope I explained it well enought to you. Good Luck. If this is true, they wake up after a bit of driving, this would be a huge turn-off. I want to know the tire pressures BEFORE I leave a campsite not down the road a bit.

From what I can find talking to one of the sales guys this morning, if you turn the monitor off and then back on it reactivates the sensors so that you can check all your tire pressures before moving.

If the TireDog system is as similar to the TST system as it appears to be, then the sensors do not become inactive when the vehicle motion stops. The sensors continue to transmit the readings about every 5 minutes unless there's a rapid change that calls for an instant transmission. The monitor (and possibly the repeater) does have a motion sensor that allows it to sleep when still for a period of time. When the monitor wakes up, either due to sensing motion, a button press. or power cycling, it may take up to 5 minutes for all of the sensors to report in as they go through their normal transmit cycles. The sensors can only transmit data, they do not receive any signals from the monitor.

Dan, sounds like you must have a Very early system, I have the RV 360 , and serial numbers on all the tire sensers, and batteries so far not been an issue.
The units are still for sale, and parts are readily avail.
THe only reason I am posting this info is I have found a AMERICAN product , that works, is affordable, and I try to support America as much as possible.
If no one cares enough to support America when they can, we will never get out of the mess the Politicians got us into.
