For years I have smiled at obvious and some not so obvious oxymorons. I wish I had written them all down somewhere, which of course means I can't remember most of them. I thought we could refresh my memory, add a few I don't know, and use this thread as a collection point.
I'll go first:
1. Sanitary Landfill

I agree that the forum rules are a bit silly but it is their forum. Our only recourse is to follow the rules or not participate. It is like I was poofed for using the word 'cr(a)pshoot' which is a commonly used term meaning a toss up. I complained but was told there are some automatic rejections by their computers. It is like a booth review of a referee's call.

Don't feel left out. I was poofed on an insurance thread because I was trying to explain how my POS insurance worked. It stands for Point Of Service and I guess they thought it stood for something else. Funny thing was I was praising and talking up the POS insurance I had and if the mod thought it to be a different meaning, I would have been talking bad about it.

Ignorant idiot.
My mom uttered this one at my brother when he was 13-14. Being the smart- mouth he was/is he countered with "have you ever heard of a smart idiot?" I don't recall what transpired next...must have wiped that picture from the memory banks.

POS can also mean Piece of S{censored}t.
Re: ignorant idiot. Ignorant means without knowledge. Idiot refers to a mental deficiency. An idiot can be well educated or ignorant. Smart idiot would be an oxymoron.
More oxymorons include freezer burn, soft rock, civil war, holy war (I especially detest that one), bittersweet, and original copy.
Btw, an oxymoron is not a fresh air nut.
