Made a deal for a brand new 2011 Roadtrek 190. Dealer wants it gone. Lists for over $107,000. They will give me over double what for my upside down TT trade-in. I give $5000 along with a $2500 rebate. I'm out the door for $83,700. Scary. Seems like these are great, super mileage, easy to drive and hold their value. I think this would be one we would keep for a long time. Just looking for those who have one and your thoughts - Thanks - Dale

Dale

I am thinking you may have paid too much.

Check out these prices. Although they are Canadian Dealers you should get around the same pricing from a US Dealer.

With a retail of $107K, he must have gotten a Popular or Versatile. The cheaper one shown in the link is a Simplicity that would list for somewhere in the low $80s. I think that it was quite a good price, unless the #5K, $2500, and trade are in addition to the $83700.

Dale:
RoadTrek makes a quality product, and I have yet to hear someone that was unhappy with it. We looked at them, but with my height (6'-7") and the fact that we wanted to take our dogs (8) with us, and occasionally our children, we opted for a "C" that will sleep all of us, without having to convert chairs into beds.

But, as a second vehicle, or even a daily driver, with some creative camping, they are GREAT!!

Congratulations!

Thanks to all for your input. Yes it is 190 Popular LX model. Don't know the difference between an LX and EX - maybe just the paint colors. Hopefully I am not paying more than I should, but I cannot travel 640 miles to Canada and hopefully be able to make a deal and trade in my Travel Trailer. Can't sell my trailer without paying at least $3000 first. Thanks everyone, hope to see you on the road. Dale

Yep, I'd still have my 2nd RT if I hadn't gotten a yen for 4x4 & a more 'unusual' camper. It was an '02 C190Pop... great floor plan for 1 or 2, a huge bed, and very well thought out.

Van City RV has a 2011 RoadTrek 190 Popular listed for $92,527.00, sale price is $80,527.00.

Who is the dealer that has the 2011 RoadTrek 190 listed for $107,000.00?

The $107,000.00 list price sounds like the price for a 210 RoadTrek.

First let me say that you are buying a great RV. The price is a little high - I paid less than that a year ago for a 2011 on a 2011 chasis 190 Popular- ordered from the factory. (This was one of the first for the "new" model year on the 2011 Chevy.) Pay no attention to the list price - there is a lot of room for negotiation and for the dealer to come down. Explain what you mean by you give $5000 and the $2500 rebate and then you are out the door with $83,700. What is the dealer's selling price to you for this 190 Popular without rebates and without any trade in? If he really wants it gone - then he has a lot of incentive to give you a better price. Now if you are saying that all you are putting out of pocket if $5,000 getting a $2500 rebate on the selling price, and with your TT you own the RT - then yeah! That is great! But if you are putting out of pocket $83,700 (plus tax, etc.) not a good deal.

Now - for your questions about the 190P - the difference between the LX and the EX are paint colors, yes it is easy to drive, super mileage? - depends on what you are comparing to - if you consider 13 to 16 mpg super then yes - best I have gotten so far on pure highway driving was 19.5 -and that was only once. More like 17 on highway, 13 on streets, holds it's value? - yes. It is very comfortable for 2 (but not more). Do I like mine? - yes, very much - but it has taken me almost a year to come to saying that I really love it.

Take a look at my site, linked in my signature - I have been writing about my experiences with my 2011 190 Popular and it starts pre-delivery and goes to this week, so far.

Bottom line is do some shopping before you jump on this "great" offer - just letting the dealer know that you have to think about it may get you more off the price. You will like the 190P.
