My wife asked me the other day if i wanted new truck, normally i would have jumped on it in a heart beat, but as i get older, hopefully smarter, so i started to compare my 06 and what would i gain from an 2012.
2012-------------------------2006
cost $60,000 due..............$00,000 $0 due
indash navagation--------------indash navigation
remote sarter..............remote starter
rear veiw camera---------------rear veiw camera
26 gallon tank...............45 gallon tank
no 5er hitch---------------5er hitch already
stock suspenion---------------air bags with incab controls
stock air filter...............S&B filter
0 miles---------------58,235
After comparing i said no which shocked her and i can't believe i said no, A new 2012 chevy D/A or keep my 06 D/A really a no brainer after comparing the 2, because $60,000 will pay for alot campsites, hotels an a trip to hawaii in April for tour 30 yr. anniverssary.
What would you due 2012 or 2006 that i have upgraded.

Too bad - so sad, the offer won't come back for another 6 years

It is my understanding that all the 2500 & 3500 Chevy's & GMC's (2012) have 36 gallon fuel tanks.

I had a similar offer in December last year. Keep the 06 CTD or trade for an 11 F350? I choose the now less expensive 06 !

Only 58,000 miles?? Heck, that makes the question even easier.

The 26 gallon tank was probably the number one reason for trading out of my '08.
So my answer was, "yes dear".

I had pretty much the same type of offer in May of 2011. My Dodge Ram Cummins quad cab 4x4 with 40k miles and a number of mods including a Reese manual slider hitch OR a new 2011 Chevy D/A crew standard bed 4x4. I opted for the new Chevy and love it. At least over the old Dodge, this truck is super quiet, rides better, has an awesome air conditioner, higher payload, and I love the Pullrite Superglide fiver hitch! You only live once! phillip

Lucky you, if I had to wait for my wife to ask me if I wanted a new truck I'd be driving a real OLD vehicle.
Good logic on your decision.
