I may think of replaceing mine. I've used alum license plates to gusset the bottom corners. I hate those bag chairs, my leg slides to the middle.

You are not going to find chairs for $5 each anywhere that are worth sitting in anytime soon. lol Unless used off of ebay.

I've found 5 of them (one is a rocker) in a scrap metal year 35+ years ago. The webbing was shot but the frames were A-OK. I had to replace the webbing at the time & you can still buy the webbing. If you take care of them they last a very long time.

Like one of the pics on the website shows, a great thing about these old-timey chairs is that you can set them in the wet sand at water's edge and they won't sink in too much. I'd forgotten about that. We had old chairs like that on our first trip to the TX coast.

You can usually find them on garbage day in a lot of older neighborhoods..a little rewebbing goes a long way

As a kid, I had never been to a family reunion that didn't have at least one relative fall through one of those chairs.

we use the stainless steel folding chairs from ZipDee. we bought 'em back in 1986 and they still look good as new. sure, more $ but a lot more reliable.
