There really is no such thing as 'Fake' when it comes to RVs.
There are conversions. There are purpose built RVs. And then as noted in many threads there are units that even though they were 'purpose built', are not up to the job.
If this truly is a conversion. The question is: What was the base unit designed to haul, was it insulated as part of the conversion? Does it operate as a TH, as far as floor plan goes or converts?
If all the above are positive. AND it's appearance is OK. What is/was the base trailer worth, and what would it be worth today? How much value do you add for the interior?
The trailer MAY be a deal. IF it is a tandem and it has a high load capacity for the application. It may be a more capable answer than a slick looking, graphics laden consumer TH. If you want to see some rather 'homebuilt' looking stuff, look at the Australian extreme rigs. Maybe you could call them 'industrial' in appearance, but they really do the job. $3000 doesn't seem like an astronomical number at face value.
On edit; Just for the record, as far as 'names' go. I have done buis. as Monaghan Rentals, H&H Tropicals, and am considering opening an RV concern (spoof), known as TH's R Us.
Just shows to go ya. What's in a name?

You are welcome.
I've considered doing a Cargo trailer "conversion" myself. I however, didn't/don't care much about the 'finished' interior aspect as some. My DW however does. So for now we've settled for a 'C',
on edit;
Just FYI; Here's one in Orlando w/o the conversion. Searched under 'enclosed trailer'
7 x 14' 6'6" height w/tandem axles(important)

I actually pre-fer the cargo trailer conversions because of the strength but didn't have the time to do another. We were looking at the 295 wp and the wife kept saying but it's done! lol
I owned a tail gator once , will never happen again. I did hear that weekend warrior has been bought and might have a new 2012 model coming up. don't know why for sure but for some reason they seemed to be one of the most popular on the west coast. a friend of mine has a ww 5th with slides I think '09 , it is a really nice unit!

8'x14' would be better, roomier. But 8' wide is scarce in short trailers.
capacity SB 7000#s or better.
15 or 16" tires, better than smaller ones.
If you are handy, and you can pick up a trailer enough cheaper. You might want to do it yourself. To your own spec...
I'd probably pick this one IF it has/had, brakes, 16" tires, 10K# cargo capacity.
8.5'x 20'x 6'6" Interior height.

You are only getting scammed if you buy it without checking it out. Go see what it is, then do further research if you need to, then decide if you want to buy it. If you blindly hand over your money, then yeah you might be getting scammed.

If you look at it it should have a sticker on it telling information about the date of manufacture along with weights both net and gross and information on things like tires and axles. Can you tell the difference between an RV and a cargo trailer?
What stupid questions! OF COURSE I'm concerned, that's why I'm asking the forum. Would YOU want to buy something fake? I said upfront I haven't looked at it yet, read the post before making comments like this. And yes, nitwit, I know the difference between an RV and a cargo trailer.
And,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, that rebuke was desereved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
