Doing a little home work for Future Travels, would like to know the best RV Park for Big Rigs during the Stampede, I have seen I think that there are Parks available that you can ride public transportation to the Stampede?
Any other Advice would be greatly appreciated. This trip is planned for this next summer.

Good thing you are checking now because we went through there about 5 years ago at that time and there wasn't a spot available anywhere.
Wound up in Edmonton. The world's largest mall is in Edmonton. Bigger than the Mall of America in MN.
July 1 is Canada Day, like our 4th of July. I learned that the hard way too. Went up there to check out the country and had a heck of a time getting a campground spot because they all go camping on that holiday just like we do.
Oh, by the way, when you drive for hours and all you see is what looks like wild mustard... it's Canola. That's where our Canola oil comes from. We saw train loads of it in what looked like coal cars.

I suspect you are too late to get any local reservations, we stayed at Mountainview was OK and had bus that ran downtown to Stampede at a low cost.

Years ago, we stayed at an RV park east of Calgary, not far east of a light rail station. We could drive to the station with our toad, park it there and take the train right into the Stampede grounds. I can't remember the name of the park, but if you use a map, you could probably identify it easily. We found that arrangement very convenient and spent two full days at the Stampede. What a fantastic experience!

We stayed at Calgary West campground several years ago. They run a bus to and from Stampede a couple of times a day and we found it to be very convenient. You could even watch the evening performance at Stampede and still make it on the last bus back.
If you do decide to go, you should be there on opening day to watch the multi-hour parade. Parade route bleacher seats are available but they are sold through a different broker than are other Stampede performance tickers. A "must see" event at Stampede are the Chuck wagon races, but all tickets should be bought well in advance if you want good seats.
